We are looking for a Business Development Manger who began their career as a field technician—installing alarm systems, access control, and security infrastructure and has successfully pivoted into sales. You understand how systems go together, what works in the real world, and how to design solutions that are installable, scalable, and profitable.
You’re still a hunter, still driven by targets—but your edge is your technical credibility.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, lead followup, and relationship building.
- Technical Security Consultation: Conduct site visits, surveys, and consultations, using your field experience to design practical, effective security solutions.
- Sales Process Ownership: Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and system designs; follow up with prospects and close deals.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as a trusted advisor to clients before, during, and after installation, ensuring expectations are aligned and met.
- Team Leadership (LongTerm Opportunity): As the business grows, contribute to building scalable sales processes and mentoring future sales team members.
Your Profile
- Field First Background: 5-8 years of handson experience as a technician installing alarm systems, access control, video surveillance, and related security technologies.
- Sales Experience: 3-5 years of proven success in a sales role within the electronic security industry.
- Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of access control systems, video surveillance, intercoms, gates, door hardware, and system integration.
- Sales Skills: Confident in prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, overcoming objections, and closing highvalue opportunities.
- Communication: Able to translate technical solutions into clear, compelling value for nontechnical decisionmakers.
- Independent & Driven: Highly organized, selfmotivated, and accountable for results.
- Project Exposure: Experience working on large or complex security projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license and clean background check.
